In the garage the baseballs and bats sit silently after a weekend of activity. Movies, basketball, tennis, baseball, and even a swim in the river.... The laundry hangs on the side porch--the stained glass figures in the kitchen collect the sun. When Connie arrives, the call rings out throughout the house: "Connie's here! Connie's here!" Luiz, Connie, and Yago head off to school while Rich climbs the stairs up into his office. It's another spring morning in Maine ... less than two months until home.
