Snow Football

Sam & Jack, multi-sport athletes from Brasil and Spain, play snow football in the afternoon.

Sleepover... Hanging with Friends

The boys had a sleepover with Kyle the 'Keeper. Here, they are Facebooking friends and discovered a number of school friends are up at Hannah's house, five minutes away. Off they went.... Oh, not before posing for the camera...

FREEZING COLD: -3F (-17.4 C) with a wind chill factor: -20F (-28C)

With the wind factor this morning, the air felt like -20 degrees F (-28C). You can see both boys are in shock... or is it the 7:10am reality of having to go OUT in that cold?

Lugging Pellets on a Warm Snowy Day

Part of the heating of the house comes from a stove than burns pellets (small wood chips). The pellets come in 40 lbs bags and we ordered and put in three tons of pellets (150 bags). As always, the boys had some fun with the work.

For Kate C., our neighbor and friend, with Love from Luiz!

This morning, Luiz spied a Cardinal in the bushes out back. He grabbed the camera and... first shot.

Writing Christmas Cards to Brasil & Spain

Although the boys wanted to hang out with friends on this Friday night, they settled in and spent two hours writing holiday cards for friends and family back home. I'm not saying they loved every minute of it as witnessed by their faces below... but... as we say, "They got her done!" (Translation: they finished the project.)

First Day of Nordic Skiing!

In a bitter cold with high winds, Luiz and Yago headed to Black Mountain of Maine for their first time skiing with the Falcon Ski Team. The kids helped both boys learn to balance and then to ski on the thin cross-country skis. Both guys did an excellent job.
