And Yago pigging out on candy!
"Rich is watching," says Luiz.
The boys had their last regular soccer match of the season against Jay High School. The final score was 7-2, but nonetheless, it was an entertaining match with lots of action both ways. The coach did a great job of moving players in and out of the match. Both Luiz and Yago scored.... I know they'll both miss the soccer team if this happens to be the very last match of 2009.
Today, the boys and their exchange student friends spoke in front of the entire school of 500+ people. All of the kids--especially our Gustavo and Yago!-- did well in their new language, English. Each student gave a PowerPoint presentation about their country, their hometowns, and their family & friends. Luiz Gustavo and Joao, fellow Brasilian, spoke together as did the three German boy. Yago spoke alone. After the school assembly there was a grand opening for an After Hours study center featuring the exchange students answering questions about their countries. A wonderful afternoon--I am VERY proud of the boys' presentations in English in front of such a large audience of people. Great job, Luiz & Yago!
